Life's Challenges

My purpose for this blog is to express my life's challenges. Everyone has them and everyone faces their challenges in different ways. For most this blog thing is old hat, but it's new to me. I plan to use it to record our family's challenges in life as well as display how much I love and cherish my kids. That's what this is for....right?

This boy is my hero and I look up to him in so many ways. Korbin lives a life of many challenges and his attitude and sweet disposition is an inspiration to me in remaining positive about life. After being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at only 19 months old, Korbin was put on the path of a life long battle. He is so strong and really leads the way for many other diabetics. He has had many scary experiences with his diabetes, yet still remains to love and live life to his fullest. Not only does he face this challenge but he just recently found out that he has legg-calve-perthes disease and really faces more struggles this up coming year. Despite all of Korbin's trying challenges, he still remains a strong and determined spirit. I look up to and admire Korbin's attitude with what he has to go through each and everyday and he will always be my hero. I love you Korbin!

Oh my little Kaitlyn! She is nothing but a spitball of fire and continues to test her limits each and every day. She is so full of life and is very independent. She has a sweet side at times but mostly knows what she wants and when she wants it. She loves her big brother and looks up to him in every way. She strives to copy his every move in every second of the day, which at times poses to be a bad thing, however thanks to Korbin's love and patience for her he allows her to soak up all of his time and energy. Kaitlyn will always bring spunk and excitment to our lives no matter what she decides to participate in.....and we love her for it.
